In her life before writing, Carla Stewart enjoyed a career in nursing and juggling the adventures of her four rambunctious sons. Her experiences provide good fodder for her novels that ponder life’s tough questions and offer hope in our skid-marked world.

A two-time ACFW Genesis winner, Carla is a Guideposts Writers Workshop alumna and has been published in Guideposts, Angels on Earth, and regional magazines. Her debut novel, Chasing Lilacs, releases in June 2010 with FaithWords, followed by a second book in 2011. Carla enjoys a good cup of coffee, weekend getaways with her husband, and the antics of their six grandchildren.
