J. M. Hochstetler focuses on writing historical fiction. She is the author of Daughter of Liberty, Native Son, and Wind of the Spirit, the first three books in the American Patriot Series set during the American Revolution. She is currently working on book 4, Crucible of War. One Holy Night, a contemporary retelling of the Christmas story in a modern-day setting, was named Christian Small Publishers 2009 Book of the Year for fiction.
Hochstetler lives with her husband in the Nashville, Tennessee area. She was an editor with The United Methodist Publishing House for twelve years before founding a small press, Sheaf House Publishers. A full-time writer and publisher, she enjoys camping, crafts, and gardening whenever she has spare time.
