Last month I started to share how to develop the marketing section of your proposal. If you missed it, check it out the August 13th post.
Let’s look at the next few elements you can include in your marketing plan.
Three retailers won a total of $2400 in CAN (Christian Author’s Network) authored books at the Munce Christian Product Expo (CPE) in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The event began Sunday, January 19th, with training and a personality party where authors signed copies of their books. CAN author, Leslie Vernick, signed her newest release The Emotionally Destructive Marriage: How to Find Your Voice and Reclaim Your Hope; Linda J. This fall I did several events where I had a booth or shared a booth. I didn’t try to simply hawk my books. I wanted to meet people and network so I focused on the people walking by. I greeted each one and made comments, such a s complimenting their clothing, and asked how they were doing. I tried to engage people in conversations.
I write to help meet needs of people and want to keep people first. It’s not about selling a book now,
but developing relationships.

I love having bookmarks for my books. They make great little gifts and also promote books. It’s great to add more than a book title and even better to team up with others for some bookmarks.Bookmarks can hold an amazing amount of information.
CAN creates bookmarks of the next year’s book releases from members. We recently created three to showcase 70 releases coming in 2014.
