Hi there, Sherry Kyle here, writing from my laptop in Central California.  Sherry Kyle

Do you experience fog where you live? This morning as I drove my youngest daughter to the bus stop I could barely see thirty feet in front of me. When I returned home, I grabbed my cell phone and snapped these pictures.

Fog:flowers Fog:path Fog:tree

I thought about how fog resembled the writing life. It takes a step of faith to keep pouring our hearts on the page. Some days it feels as if we're typing through fog.

Have you heard these song lyrics by Don Moen?

God will make a way,

Where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide

Hold me closely to His side

With love and strength for each new day

He will make a way,

He will make a way.

How does God make a way for us when we can’t see the big picture?

Isaiah 43:19 says,

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

How does God make a way for us when it feels as if we’re drowning?

Isaiah 43:16 says,

This is what the LORD says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.

How does God make a way for us when we’re tempted?

1 Corinthians 10:13 says,

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

The fog lifts when we turn to His word.

Psalm 119: 105 says,

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

   Sun!

Blessings!

Sherry
