It’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend and member, Marion. She passed recently from cancer and she’ll be greatly missed by family, friends, and the literary world. We, at CAN, are honored to have been a part of her life. We celebrate the legacy she’s left for the world.
Marion Stroud was a British writer of 26 books – three children’s titles and 23 non-fiction books, some of which have been translated into 14 different languages. Her publisher in England was Lion Hudson and in the USA, Discovery House. She was a regular contributor to Our Daily Bread bible reading notes. Her most recent titles were two volumes of down-to-earth prayers “Dear God It’s Me and It’s Urgent” and “It’s Just You and me Lord.” Marion was a cross cultural trainer for Media Associates, helping writers in the spiritually hard places of the world write books and articles that are appropriate to their own culture.
Marion lived in the ancient market town of Bedford, where John Bunyan wrote his world famous “Pilgrim’s Progress” while imprisoned in Bedford Gaol, for preaching outside of the established church. She was married to Gordon, a retired dentist and has 5 adult children and 16 grandchildren. To learn more visit www.marionstroud.com.
