Karen Whiting (www.karenwhiting,com) is an international speaker, former television host of Puppets on Parade, and award-winning author of twenty-five books for women, children, and families. She has a heart to help families thrive and build strong, wholesome bonds. She has written more than seven hundred articles for more than sixty publications and loves to let creativity splash over the pages of what she writes. Currently, Karen writes for Leading Hearts, The Kid’s Ark, and Molly Green Magazines.
Karen grew up surrounded by family and dairy farms plus family restaurants. She has baked bread all her life and collected treasured family recipes and familiar favorites. As a Coast Guard wife, Karen lived in many states, almost always near the water. She has a degree in mathematics, and is a widow, mother of five, including two rocket scientists (yes, for real) and a grandmother.
