Petticoat Ranch, by Mary Connealy
I’m not normally a big fan of frontier historicals, but Mary Connealy has blessed heroine Sophie Edwards with the heart of a modern woman. If you’ve ever struggled with the whole “submissive wife” concept (and who hasn’t?), you’ll identify with Sophie right away. I’d like to see this story in movie form, especially the climactic scene, with all the been-there-done-that nuances between the Edwards girls as they take on the bad guys. LOTS of fun.
