Jewel Of Persia – A Book Review

, by

Today it’s a real pleasure to review the latest release of my writing peer, and publisher, Roseanna White. One of the many things I like about WhiteFire is they publish books that some would call edgy Christian fiction–I prefer the term, realistic. The wrong things happen in life, and that’s why we need the Savior. But in WhiteFire Publishing, while these issues happen within the story, the story must always point back to the need for Jesus Christ to wash away our sins. That’s what happens within the pages of Jewel of Persia which I rated 5 stars.

CAN Book Review by Diana Brandmeyer: Second Chance Brides by Vickie McDonough

, by

Second Chance Brides by Vickie McDonough is the second book in the Texas Boardinghouse Brides series.  This book is one of McDonough’s best ever.  The cover on the book pulls you into the story. The cover artist caught the essence of the characters, Shannon O’Neil and Mark Corbett translating them into real people for me.  Shannon and Leah Bennett were caught in the Corbett brother’s scheme to find a wife for their cousin. (The Anonymous Bride Book 1) Both have reasons for not returning to where they came from. Shannon is an Irish immigrant and now she’s alone in Lookout,…

She leaves Washington State and its heartaches behind, hoping to support herself in the rough Alaskan terrain.
